I like going to the gym. What do you all like to do for fun?
Planning out your AMCAS Works and Activities section eh? 😉 (and also, it's best reserved for the social thread)
With that said, I play the guitar in various and possibly random occasionsOh and watch northern lights whenever/wherever I can find.

I play clarinet, listen to good music, watch YouTube and documentaries with my gf, practice martial arts, namely Aikido and devise various ways to defend myself in different situations because I'm basically Dwight Schrute.
Of course it is! Don't think that it's wrong to make time for yourself. It's just another part of the critical time management skills you'll need later on.I was just thinking I spend a lot of time on activities for my application and sometimes neglect my own personal interests! I feel like I'm forgetting that investing time in my own interests and hobbies is really okay!

I enjoy laying out new gardens. I plan them, plant them, and care for them. The best part is sitting back and watching them grow just the way I envisioned (mostly). What do you all like to do for fun?
I have played a bunch of old Avalon hills games my uncle had in a closet. Literally can take months to play these games. Battle of the Bulge is a favorite.Cooking, reading and board wargames. Give me an armored division in the Ardennes, or a Guards Tank Army on the steppes of Russia, and I'm a holy terror.
Have a Fed Sci based on Dr Phlox from Enterprise
Getting into it in the fall semester. Very excite.Playing my violin
Reading
Running
Archery
Fishing
Horseback riding
Taking care of my small army of pets
Spending time with friends and family
Ahhh I forgot to mention chess... I feel like I'm at the same point. I also recently gave Go a look but I wasn't hooked so I have kinda been ignoring it.Trying to get into Go now, I've become a bit bored with Chess and I hit that wall where it would take tons of work to get even a little better and in the end computers are way better than me anyway so I'm kinda meh about it. Go is pretty fun though. Hard game.

You play on any phone apps?
Dr. Phlox was awesome.

It's so interesting to hear people who like gardening! I've been thinking of growing a couple of herbs and spices, but living in an apartment without a lot of sun light is making me hesitant...
1. I've played guitar 12 years and drums for 8 years. Played in bands in high school and did pep band/jazz band in college. I kind of stopped though because things have been busy with school/work, but I hope to get back on those soon.
2. Listening to a lot of music, but mostly indie/alternative/folk rock, rap/hip hop, and mid-2000's emo/pop punk (best years to be an angsty high schooler!).
3. Watching a lot of NBA/NCAA basketball and get super angry at the TV when the games aren't going how I'd want it to go...
4. Reading graphic novels and comics
5. Listening to NPR and podcasts like This American Life.
6. Video gaming!! My favorites are more story/decision-based or exploration based games like Life is Strange, The Walking Dead by Telltale games, and Kingdom Hearts.
7. Watching Youtube! Though I mostly watch gaming and cooking channels.
It's kind of sad I stopped doing anything.
All I do is lift and sleep. I don't even play soccer or swim anymore. I've given up painting, religious studies, even my PS4 is collecting dust.
School, research, and volunteering is already too much. Any free time I have, I'll be at the gym or in my bed. If I have a week off, I'd just end up dicking around with my free time -- maybe seeing a movie with friends or chilling with my siblings.
I literally have no hobbies anymore, Idk anyone else feeling like this 🤔
