Just wondering if anyone had taken some of those Kaplan Section Tests (or FL Sections for that matter).

I've noticed about the highest I'll score on a Kaplan science section is about 75%

On an AAMC scale, this would result in a 9 or maybe a 10. I'm really hoping I don't run into a Kaplan difficulty/AAMC scale situation. Not good.

Have you taken any AAMC practice tests yet? The curve is more strict, but typically the science questions, especially PS, are easier and more straightforward. So if you're getting 75% on Kaplan, you should probably be getting in the 80s on AAMC, around an 11 or 12.

Yeah the Kaplan curve/percentages is very confusing for me- On the MCAT cd companion test, I got a 87% on VR, but only got a 10...?

Yeah on the AAMC's my raw percentage for the science sections are usually anywhere from low 80's to low 90's.

My average for the Kaplan is anywhere from 60 to 75%.

Someone please just oblige me and tell me that the real deal is just another AAMC practice test. Come on, I don't even care if you mean it.

yes T12, the actual MCAT is JUST LIKE another AAMC practice test.

(I know this, because I have not taken one yet.)

Come on' there is nothing wrong with little bit of positivity. 😀 (besides, you wanted it)

GOOD LUCK!!

Very much appreciated. I hate those damn Kaplan tests.

I have been scoring 55% on Kaplan PS subject tests. What range of score could that measure out to be?🙁

yeah, i've been hitting 60-70% on the sectional/topical tests for Kaplan but have no real indication of how this would convert to an actual scale...

Don't worry so much about your score on the topical tests. they're meant to be there to drill you on the nitty gritty details of each topic, to make sure you have a really thorough understanding. They're supposed to be a lot harder than the actual test, so 60-70% is very good.
