I have looked for many searches of a list of what book is good for what section and I haven't found a good match. So, I was wondering what everyone recommended...

For example is the DAT PAT worth 180 dollars?
Also, is the DAT Destroyer worth 150 to master the organic section?

In other words, I'm in the process of purchasing books for my text ( along with many others) and I was wondering what texts other recommend for a reasonable price.

Thank you.

IMO, old AP bio book and your current bio books for further explanation or Wiki
I think the O-chem book (again the old one in your college class) is good for solid conceptual understanding
Gen Chem, I don't know

No matter what you need PAT questions and lots of them
Quantitative no idea, Reading no idea 😀
the material you use shouldn't be too important I believe.

GOOD LUCK

I would say the Kaplan book is the first book you should get. It is a good introduction to the test and I thought it was sufficient to do well in for the chemistry, organic chemistry, RC and QR sections of the exam. If you feel a bit weak in any of those sections than pick up an AP book or get DAT destroyer. The kaplan biology section is not comprehensive enough so you should get a copy of Cliff's AP Biology or Shaum's outline of Biology. Also, kaplan's PAT questions are way to easy and if you need extra work then get Crack DAT PAT. I also suggest getting a full length exam software - either Topscore Pro or DAT Achiever.

Really though, it comes down to how hard you study. You can get all the DAT review books and still not do well on the test if you don't spend the time to really learn as much material as you can. You can also potentially do well just by reviewing all of your old textbooks, but I suggest at least getting the kaplan book to get a feel for the type of questions and the format of the exam. Anyway, my basic recommendation is get kaplan, a biology review book, and either topscore or dat achiever. Use the other material if you feel you need extra help for a particular topic.

Kaplan DAT Book
DAT Destroyer
Schaum's outline of biology or Cliff's AP Bio
Crack DAT PAT
Topscore DAT or DAT Achiever
