Hi :
I am a pre-dental student applying for the 2005 cycle. I'm interested in pursuing community/public health with dentistry, but I know I probably will not do a dual MPH and DDS program. So I thought about taking some undergraduate courses to just be introduce to the field...only problem is the school i go to does not have a publich health major.
I was wondering if anyone can suggest classes that might help shed more light and experience on public/community health. For example I was told that a statistics class would help.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you're still interested, but you might try some nutrition courses (a lot of them deal with chronic diseases and are a huge part of community health). Check out the education dept too. Depending on your school, they might have science or health ed classes. Stats helps if you want a better understanding of what the heck all those charts and graphs really mean in research publications. Good luck.
