I am currently on the waiting list for Touro-NV, and I want to do whatever I can to improve my chances of getting accepted whie I wait, they said the reason for not getting immediatly in was my scince GPA, any ideas? Thanks.

Send updates. Send any new grades, new letters of recommendation, and even information about new extracurriculars/service/medical experiences. You could try sending a letter of intent if this school is your first choice.

In response to the question of my scince GPA, it was a 2.8

What is your Faith?

I agree to send updates with new grades, updated resume, and a letter of intent. I would also consider making a meeting with an admissions consultant or admissions director at the medical school. He/she can get to know you better, see that you have moved beyond your lacking science GPA and are ready for medical school, and can become your advocate at the next adcom meeting. Good luck!

Roger is really receptive to updates. Here's an example:

My first MCAT was 24T, and I got an interview, and was waitlisted with a science GPA exactly that of yours. He stated this as one of the factors that made me waitlisted and not accepted. However, about three weeks after the interview, I received my new MCAT scores, and they were 30P. I called him to update, and he said he would personally take my file to the dean the following week and see if the decision could be reversed. No word yet, but I'm hopeful, and really grateful for Roger. Good luck

Be professional, polite, but persistent. Remind them often you are still interested.

There is a student here who was waitlisted and he actually moved out here before he was accepted. He told the school he was serious and demonstrated it by actually moving a thousand miles and signing a lease.

They moved him to the top of the list and accepted him.

Did Touro-NV just instate this minimum 25 MCAT thing? Just curious how you got an interview with a 24.

I'm gonna try to submit my secondary in the next 2-3 weeks

Do you mean am I Jewish because Touro is a Jewish faith based university? I am half Jewish, but on my dad's side, so technically I am not at all.
