Hi all,
I gave my part 1 on 17th of oct and just got my result today.
My average is 94
anatomic sciences:93
physio-biochem:92
micro-path:95
dental anat:94

My ece gpa is 3.89 and am giving TOEFL tomorrow and the results would be mailed to me and to the schools in 15 days.I know am already too late for applications but i think i can still apply to Upenn,Boston and NYU.I would appreciate your suggestions regarding my chances with these stats as i have no idea what is the trend for diff schools going these days.please reply.

Upenn deadline is January 16, Bu is Feburary 1, Nyu is March 5.

You have plenty time to apply. Send request form to ADA right away asking them to send your score to schools you want. Fill out the school code tomorrow when taking Toefl and the schools will get your score at same time as you get it( 15 days after tomorrow).

The most important thing is prepare ECE report. If you already have, everything is ok now. If you don't, use their rush service and it will be done in 1 week.

Other things are recommendation letters and notarized diploma and transcript. Those you should prepare yourself and depend on yourself as we cann't help.

I have done my BDS from India too...Right now am preparing for Part 1...I got a CD from ebay.....It has dental decks 2001 and 2004,ADA relaeased papers,KAplan review notes,a Q bank. What else should i get for my preparations? PLS help me!!

I dont know with that score if you'll get in anywhere at all...i mean only 94?....you should definetely apply everywhere to increase your chances, but dont hold your breath...maybe you should start preparing to take it again...

3.89 is also kinda weak, i mean you are a whole tenth of a point away from a 4.0 so there is definetlely room for improvement but you can't change ure GPA now anyways..

Also,one more question is-For the ECE eval,did you also have to submit the 10th and 12th standard syllabii along with the dental syllabus?

hey prachi,
i got my credentials evaluated by ECE..We are not supposed to send 10th or 12th syllabus...Ur dental syllabus is fine enough..Yes, i did send 10th &12th marksheets.
If you have 10th ,12th syllabus..u can send them.It is never a harm to send some extra documents..but be sure to send in all the "required" ones..

schools deadlines are over. you can still apply to Upenn, BU and NYU if you give exam by dec 20th. I think. You need Kaplan decks and papers and you get above an 88

Hi Prachi,
I studied on an average for 6 months (off n on basis) putting nearly about 6 hours approx everyday excluding wkends but during the last one month i studied for about 8-10 hours including the wkends..as u reach near to ur exam date..the speed automatically gets increased.. 🙂

well,mekha.i was just genuinely inquisitive to know about the recent trends in the shchools these days.I was nt crying..neither was i blowing my own trumpet.i know that my score is really good and i do have chances of getting into the schools..but it was just that till i gave my exam i was paying most of my attention towards the studying part and not much to the range of scores accepted these days and the other considerations for admissions including the deadlines and other things..so i thought of putting my question on this site and i think thats what this site is for..

Could anyone tell me what documents we need to submit to apply for the CBT?They have mentioned "evidence of graduation" and have mentioned some CANDIDATE GUIDE.Where do I find that?
Also,at some other time,I came across a Paragraph stating that we need to get some form from the" JOINT COMISSION" and get it signed from the dean of the college we graduated from to apply for the CBT.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Don't worry about any of that stuff.If you have got your ECE evaluation done, you don't need to get anything else done.
