I have always struggled in school. I work so hard but seem to get no where. Right now I am taking a biochem class and psychology class. Biochem I am scared I will get a B, psychology I will have a A. I had a 3.0 GPA in undergrad so I think I need to have at least a 3.6 in this masters program. Do you think a 3.6 is even high enough to make up for my poor GPA?

Background: 1 year research in biotechnology, presented poster won some award. I have shadowed may doctors. I don't know if this matters some people say it does so let me know what you think but I am a white female from a rural town, I came from a high school which did not even have textbooks. I know I was not prepared for college when I came and I have been paying the price ever since.

Things are not starting off so well in this masters program with a B in biochem. I am registered to take immunology and a nutrition class next semester. I am only taking 2 3 credit classes my first two semesters because of a summer medical trip I will be taking which is 6 credits.

I need help because I don't want to take classes which are too easy because then medical school will not look at me, but if I take classes which are too difficult I will make a B. Based on my undergrad GPA I'm very consistent with make Bs.

Any suggestion in classes I should take or ways to make myself more competitive? Any advice would really be appreciated.

Why are you so sure you will get a B in the biochem course? Are you studying every day?

Yes, I am doing my best to study everyday. But so far my exam grades have not been good, I will need to improve my score by 20 points on the last two test to get an A. It seems like an A is out of reach, since my last exam grade only went up 5 points. I have it all I had I studied for several weeks!
