What day does med school generally start????

It really varies by the school... I know where I am going has orientation around the last few days of July then classes start in the first few days of Aug- some schools start later though.

UVA and WashU both start in early August. Case, on the other hand, starts in early July.
Depends on the school. As long as you have an internship that's over by early July, it's fine. The best option, though, is probly to skip the internship for that summer and you won't have to stress about it.

OP, I would suggest checking with any/all schools you plan on applying to, just to be safe. Also, why not take that summer off to enjoy life? If you do research or something else between M1 and M2, then next summer will be your last summer vacation ever! I know I plan on enjoying mine.

Med school starts anywhere from late June to mid-September, I believe... so you should check with individual schools and plan accordingly.

The majority start in July - mid August. Very few start in September so I wouldn't assume that for planning purposes.
Have you had any acceptances? Interviews? How are we supposed to know when your school is going to start when you haven't told us anything? I know of schools that start between June and September. Take your pick.

Indeed, but if you're hoping to get into UCSF (which I believe starts in September), then it may factor into your decision. Although I suppose it would make more sense to plan to end summer activities earlier rather than later.

Honestly, I did google on them. Still couldn't find my answer from any of those links. I cannot find an online version of the medical schools' 2009-2010 academic calendar, which is why I asked...
Does anyone know when these schools start? (or even one of them?)
