Agree with balki, NO liquids. The pressure makes you want to pee already, with added liquids you may explode!
 
the best thing or actually this is what you must do.
get up no later than 6 am. get outside and face the sun, the day, or whatever and be awake.
drink 2 glasses of orange (seriously it helps sooo much). make sure you eat full breakfast (force yourself eventhough it'll be too early to eat a whole breakfast at 6 am).
when you get to the test center, i don't think you should have anything but water. all you should do during the break is to use the restroom, stretch, and get ready for another heavy weight round.

you don't have time to eat and besides you won't be hungry anyways if you do what i said.

I think that what you eat the day before the test is important, as well as breakfast, but what you eat during the break doesn't matter at all. I do love how anal pre-dents are (me included) but this has gotten out of hand!

I actually think its a valid topic. I wish i hadnt drank anything after 3pm the prior day. Right after the test started, so did my bladder. Beleive it or not, i got up and went to the bathroom twice during the test, i just couldnt take it. Both times after finishing a section early, but i could have used the time to go over questions.

Perfect, personally, I will go the other way with the breakfast. I think avoid eating more than you usually eat. I certainly wouldnt want to walk into a championship game with a full stomache. Also, the snickers at halftime helps to give a sugar bump, you'll burn out in the 4th quarter without it. 😉

Oh, and cotton socks rock! The hairstyle isnt important, but if your a guy its appropriate to grow a little beard to give that "I am a hardcore student who doesnt care to shave" effect and stay away from the farting, your test neighbor will appreciate it.

it is very funny that some of the people ask some very interesting questions.

the beauity of it all is the fact that i think we do need some funny things once in a while.
keeps me laughing some days at least!

i had flavored iced tea (my favorite light drink) and chocolate covered peanuts. helped me out a lot.

Bring some raisins and water with you and down them during your break. It gives a great sugar rise, enough to get you through Reading C.T. and 1/2 through math. Add some chocolate chips and then you are golden for math.

Make sure you drink water with your snack.

bring yourself a bottle of crystal or any other champagne. i heard the more drunk you are the better scores you get.

I didnt even take the break. I believe it breaks a rhthym that the student achieved in the first two sections. Just rest your eyes for a couple of minutes and moveon.
 
I had two pockets full of peanut m&m. Peanuts give protein. Chocolate gives energy. The whole thing together gives a sugar rise.

I even had some m&m before my math section. I was pretty burned out by then. But I guess those little candies work wonder.
 
Each person is different. You should take some model DAT tests and see if you need a break or not. 15 minutes of calmness could do wonders for you, plus you need to go to the bathroom don't you?

you are so right on that man. i am telling you guys, i think that having a big hangover or just downing a bottle of whisky probably work best for you all. try it!

For breakfast I had a can of tuna (straight from the can, albacore tuna) and a glass of orange Juice. This way I had protien to use and was not bogged down or groggy with all those carbs. It gave me fuel to push through. As for the break. I drank some water from the drinking fountain. Very refreshing and I only had two sections to go!!!!!:laugh:

it's all about Red Bull. i got 30 mins. of sleep before the DAT, felt like dung in the morning, ate some breakfast, made me more tired, but then i drank some Red Bull and i was doing jumping jacks. during the break i ate half a snickers bar (glad I did), and drank the rest of my Red Bull.
