What did you do with your month off......

Just curious what other MSIII's are doing with their month off (if you happened to have the past month off or have had a vacation month already).....

Or, what do you plan to do?

I have done absolutely nothing even remotely related to medicine. That is except get rid of old notes from years 1 & 2. Other than saving some of the textbooks we have used, I haven't even looked at a book.

I think I needed a break from medicine.

Anyway, I have one week left and I do plan to do some light prep reading for my Nephro rotation next month.

Just curious what it will be like when I can't take a month off from medicine.

Any thoughts?

We don't get a month off in third year! you're lucky.

We get 1.5 weeks for Christmas and that is it. We go July 1 to July1.

If I had a month off (looking forward to many months off fourth year) I'd do NOTHING medically related.

As MS-III's we had two weeks off at Christmas and two weeks off between the end of our third year rotations and the beginning of our fourth year rotations. I did nothing over Christmas, and went on vacation during the two weeks between MS-III and MS-IV.

In our fourth year, we have a month off, and I did a whole bunch of nothing during that month. All I did was residency interviews. 👍

MOnth off....who the efff... had month off....I had rotations clear thru the last two years with only breaks for interviews and travel to and from rotation sites....It just got worse during internship! Residency was a comparative luxury, two- 4 weeks off for vacations and CME!
