What do I do if I have a DUI???

I am still a premed but I need advice from current med students, especially those that have share my situation:

Do to some poor judgement, I was convicted of a DUI (driving under the influence...) two years ago. It is a misdemeanor and I paid my debt to society. However, I am wondering how this effects my med school chances? Will the better med schools shy away from me? Are there any students that have had to deal with this problem???

Well, they won't like it. However, you are amazingly lucky that it is a misdemeanor where ever you are! This will of great help to you as some schools will not be interested in your misdemeanor convictions. Hard to tell which until you get the secondaries though.
