Conflicted between applying to a summer internship near my house while doing research at my school and doing some volunteering or taking a summer class while doing research at my school and doing some volunteering. The main conflict I guess is a little improvement in GPA vs a research internship? The internship in question would be a SURP. Moreover I also have the option of doing SMDEP now known as SHPEP but I wouldn't be able to do research at my school and do volunteering as it's not near my house.
