Okay so I just took the DAT, for the second time today and I need some opinion please.

Scores:

PA: 19 (69.4%)
QA: 16 (65.3%)
RC: 20 (78.5%)
BIO: 24 (99.6%)
GC: 25 (98.5%)
OC: 28 (99.5%)
TS: 26 (99.9%)
AA 23 (99.7)

Stats:

My cGPA, sGPA, bcpGPA is somewhere betwee 3.4-3.45. I have about 100 hrs of shadowing, 100 hrs of volunteering. What do I do about QA? I don't really want to retake. Should I contact admissions regarding my situation? Any comments appreciated.

Do not worry. You have a good shot at getting in this year. And Quantitative Reasoning section is usually the least important section, so you don't need to retake.

I literally called 16 schools yesterday about retaking my dat, and they all told me as long as you're past the minimum, you're fine. I think 16 is the bare minimum for most schools. Most schools I talked to yesterday only asked about AA, TS, PAT, and RC. NONE asked about QR, so yeah, most schools really don't care about it. Seeing how your AA and TS are awesome, I wouldn't even worry about it. Congrats on the awesome scores!

When you say 16 is the bare minimum, is that for every section or overall? And does that mean a 16 would be considered or only 17 would be considered? Thanks again!

Im gonna try to sound as polite as I can...

dentistry is a profession where common-sense dictates alot of decision making... do you think a person with 23 and 26 AA/TS is going to have problems with admissions?

+1.

I dont think you got anything to worry about... Can you tell us what you did differently the second time u were preparing for DAT?

First time I got 19 on TS and AA. I only used Barrons' DAT. This time I used Chad's video and Destroyer. Then I used topscore for some practice. I have to say, Chad's video are the main cause for the improved GC and OC scores. Take copious notes and understand them, and you should be able to score 21+ on GC and OC. Destroyer will make sure you really know and understand Chad's video. For Bio, I used Barrons' AP Bio, KBB, and did about 2/3 of bio questions from destroyer. I read through Barron's AP bio in one day (same with KBB bio section). I re-read any topic I was iffy about with Barron's AP Bio the day before my test. I didn't really do much with math and RC, probably explains the low scores. I did it all within a month while shadowing a dentist full time for the first half of the month. After that, it was pretty much 12 hrs a day, sometimes longer. I only stopped to eat and sleep haha.
