What do people write during the tutorial?

Any suggestions of what to write down during the tutorial besides formulas?

Are there people that didn't write anything?

Did some people draw grids for hole punching before starting the science?

I had some extra time between PAT and Natural Science. I spent that time drawing my hole punch grids. I've heard of some testing centers not allowing you to write things down during the tutorial. You may want to check with the center and see if they allow it.

You can write during the tutorial, no worries. I wrote out the grids for the TFE section of the PAT, and I also wrote tables with 0,1,2,3,etc for the cube counting part of the PAT. It'd be a pain to write it between the Sciences and the PAT, especially with the time constraints, so your best bet is during the tutorial.

I asked my center and they told me I wasn't allowed to write during the tutorial. They don't check to see if you write or not during the tutorial so it's up to you if you choose to do so, I was just very paranoid and didn't want to risk doing anything I wasn't supposed to so I actually ended up taking the first minute of PAT to draw out my hole punching grids. I didn't do tallies for cube counting, I wrote out the actual numbers horizontally, it was more efficient for me

Your testing center may not have the same rules and guidelines as OP's. In my opinion, he/she should call the testing center and ask if it's allowed, or ask when he/she arrives. It's better to spend 30 seconds during PAT writing those things down than writing it during the tutorial and possibly getting in trouble before you even begin the test. Just my 2 cents

It was not allowed at my testing center. Be sure to ask before you try to write during the tutorial.

i personally did not write any sort of formula during my break or tutorial. i used this time to rest my mind and got ready to zone in. if you already know the formula from studying, you shouldn't have to write it down. don't bother trying to write down shortcut formulas the may/may not be applicable on your exam bc then you sort of begin to anticipate that that certain question will show up. focus on the bigger picture. just my 2 cents.

Calling may be pointless. When I called, I was told I was allowed to write during tutorials. When I arrived, my proctor told me I was not allowed to. Practice without writing and know you may get lucky anyway.

Ugh that happened to me today and it threw me off. I was so ready to write all the important gen Chem formulas down, until I was told I wasn't allowed to write anything until the first questions pops up. [emoji849].

Ooohhh haha okay, I was thinking maybe you knew a TFE technique I didn't! Lol but grids for hole punching makes sense.

My testing center didn't allow me to write during the tutorial but they have this new strikethrough feature that is beautiful- you can right click on answers to eliminate them so I didn't have to draw much for the PAT section. I had about a minute left at the end of my Natural Science section so I just quickly drew out my grids for Holepunching and my number count for Cube counting!
