I got dual credits for both journalism 2 and english 4 honors, but i ended up with an 89.9% in english so i have a 3.0gpa for the college institution that the credits were from. Do I have to x-fer the 3.0gpa one to my institution, if not... would AMCAS find out if I decided to apply to med schools (i mean... since i was in high school, would i even need to include it?).

You are supposed to include all university grades that you got while in HS....

I wouldn't risk not listing them....it's just a few credit hours of a 3.0.

That's not too bad.

it's not TOO bad, but it shouldn't have to be included in my transcript if I took it in school.... i mean... med schools don't look at my HS grades or my SAT/ACT do they? it's just stupid.

It's your call.

I do think it is ironic though......a lot of future md-wannabes who get punished for wanting to take upper level courses while in high school.

Such is life, I suppose.

But these weren't high school classes, now, were they? You roll the dice when taking college courses in HS. AMCAS rules dictate they must be included.

umm.... yes they were... i took them @ my high school, for high school credit, which was used in my high school gpa.

Right, but you also took the classes for concurrent credit with a college. That counts as a college course and must be reported as such. If you had gotten an A, you would be bending over backwards to include them in AMCAS.

If they were dual credit, that means you have credit on your record from that college, which means you must have a transcript mailed from that college to AMCAS.

Don't risk not reporting the grades. If medical schools ever find out that you lied or misrepresented yourself on any application materials, they can withdraw an acceptance or even kick you out of school if you were to have already started. And just to let you know, many medical schools do want to see your SAT scores - some even require them.
