What do u think about Boston University?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
it's my first choice school.

I loved it when I went there. Their program is structured around how oral health deals with overall health. The APEX program is great. I like how they have a relatively smooth D2 first semester, which allows for the students to prepare for the boards. The simulation labs are really nice too. I really like the school, but it is a little on the expensive side. Nonetheless, I am probably going to go there! I hope this helps...

Agreed!! And Dr. Shaw is awesome.....

hey guys, some previous posts raised some concerns about the clinical experience of bu graduates. Do you guys have any input on that? Thanks!

people who knock the clinical opportunities at BU either didnt interview there or slept through the entire tour and explanation of the curriculum. there is a ton of hands on experience offered and a very deep patient pool. also, BU allows for and even helps its students find placements in clinics and private practices all around the country. not to mention, it is the only school i have visited that allows its students to take a class before the national boards (at the school, free of charge) to help them prepare. AND, you dont have to worry about taking 3 exams in 2 days (like at tufts). trust me, there is nothing to worry about with BU, youll get a great education and youll be living in boston. if youve been accepted, send in your deposit ASAP, or youll regret it when youre at another school.
