OK so I have two jobs lined up and by the end of this week, I need to decide on which one to take. One is a full time job in a dental lab, where I'm actively working and helping to make crowns and what not. The other is a full time research assistant at a children's hospital nearby. Any thoughts?

have you done any previous work in either fields? i'f you've already worked in a dental lab, do some research at the hospital. if you've already done research in the past, work in the dental lab. DS's are looking for well rounded people who have had a wide range of experiences. if at all possible you may want to try to work part time at both if you havent done either before.

just curious how did you go about landing these jobs? are you still undergrad and do you need some sort of previous experience/certifications?

I agree with JTSLai. The upside about working at a dental lab is that you may be able to develop your lab skills for dental school and may get an edge over others in lab.

Have you participated in research before?

I've done neither before, but all next school year I'll be doing research. I kind of feel like being at the dental lab would be more relevant? I don't know, ugh.

I would do the dental lab if you'll be doing research next fall.
