When you aren't thinking about school, what are you thinking of? What do you like to do? Where do you go? This is not a rhetorical question or anything.
I enjoy spending money on superficial things like clothes and shoes. It's my way of balancing things out.
Wow... So many outdoorsy people.... I just play tons and tons of computer games. D:
I play guitar, make songs and listen to a ton of music. There's the usual TV/web browsing of course, but the only other thing I put a lot of time into besides studying is music. Only music is more fun lol...
a lot of online porn.
+1000i fratted hard.
Much appreciation for the progressive guitar players, the amount of talent some of those guitarists have just leaves me awestruck. Wish I had a quarter of the abilities they do. 😛Hey guitarists, let's hijack the thread and make it about music. So what is your favorite genre to play? My fav genre is, as ever, progressive and black metal. I don't know why but the riffs just sound so sick to me and I can lose myself for hours playing those Phrygian melodies!!
Oh and on topic: I love playing guitar and videogames (playing TES3: Morrowind lately, my comp sucks so I can't play the flashy modern games, but Morrowind is an excellent classic), and reading books anything from fiction to political books (I read the Economist on occasion), and I love cycling and doing the occasional triathlon, and I gotta give a big shout out to SQUASH the best racquet sport ever. Plus the name sounds cool.
Nah, it's just whatever the moment calls for. If I feel like wasting time in between classes, just fb and play dota. If I'm tired, I might catch up some sleep or watch tv/movies. If I just finished an exam, go hang out with friends and party!
Dota just old, I play LoL (League of Legend)😀
Btw, a piece advice for pre-medee, try not to play games. I mean you CAN'T control yourself once you into it, just don't play instead of play alittle. I gurantee you will cry like a child everytime log in your comp.
(Automatically click "insert your game")😀

I used to be very heavy into classic rock but over the last year or two I have been really focusing on electronic and ambient/soundscape-ish music, which is fun to apply to guitar. I also like bit of metal but most of the time I could never attempt playing the songs.![]()
I also love baking, so about once a week I end up making a pie and/or brownies and/or my new cake experiment and share with my neighbors. It's a yummy and terrifically unhealthy hobby!/QUOTE]
I love baking as well but I just though I'd throw in that I HATE the word yummy. I'm not sure why but I just don't like the way it sounds. Rachel Ray is the worst because she seems particularly fond of calling things "Yummy" No offense intended, just taking this as an opportunity to talk about myself. 😀 😀

Ever heard of HoN? (Heros of Newerth)
For sure, it always amazes me when the musicians get technical/show mastery but still retain alot of the feeling and emotions. Alot of people seem to get one and lose the other (I have a lot of trouble with this).Yeah some of the musicians have such impressive technique and creativity... And emotion too of course. it's utterly mind-blowing. Face-melting.
The electronic/ambient stuff sounds cool, a friend and I once messed around with outer space-sounding music.. we had a lot of reverb and delay on, and the music we played (if it could be classified in a genre) would have been psychedelic trance ambient jazz rock... a couple people liked it but some made fun of us for it being so strange (ouch!). Actually one of the things that attracts me to metal is because the repetitive nature of a lot of the music is ambient to me, if that makes sense. For an example of what I'm talking about, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1aJPEFtoNg (although this band is post-rock metal so it's minimalistic by nature)
I hang out with my husband and our friends, and I read a lot... that's pretty much it. My group of people tends to hang out at Denny's in the middle of the night talking politics and philosophy. I'm sure this sounds boring to some, but it makes me happy. ^.^
