What do you like to do besides study and pre-med stuff?

I enjoy spending money on superficial things like clothes and shoes. It's my way of balancing things out.

Nah, it's just whatever the moment calls for. If I feel like wasting time in between classes, just fb and play dota. If I'm tired, I might catch up some sleep or watch tv/movies. If I just finished an exam, go hang out with friends and party!

Hang out with my girlfriend, dog, friends. Drink with all the above (except the dog... she's not allowed to drink!). Sharpen my beer pong skills is a big one. Pretty solid. Go to movies. Play video games. Write computer programs (computer science geek stuff haha). Read. Exercise. Driving around. Hit up the beach (gotta love going to a beach school). Eating.

I play guitar, make songs and listen to a ton of music. There's the usual TV/web browsing of course, but the only other thing I put a lot of time into besides studying is music. Only music is more fun lol...

Hey guitarists, let's hijack the thread and make it about music. So what is your favorite genre to play? My fav genre is, as ever, progressive and black metal. I don't know why but the riffs just sound so sick to me and I can lose myself for hours playing those Phrygian melodies!!

Oh and on topic: I love playing guitar and videogames (playing TES3: Morrowind lately, my comp sucks so I can't play the flashy modern games, but Morrowind is an excellent classic), and reading books anything from fiction to political books (I read the Economist on occasion), and I love cycling and doing the occasional triathlon, and I gotta give a big shout out to SQUASH the best racquet sport ever. Plus the name sounds cool.

Workout, drink, go to clubs/bars and drink, college football if its on, xbox (CODMW 2)... And thats pretty much it

I do MDMA twice a week, other than that just study and sleep.

I write. I'm up to two rejected manuscripts, lol! But it calms me down and I can do it anywhere, so I'm pretty happy with it.

I also love baking, so about once a week I end up making a pie and/or brownies and/or my new cake experiment and share with my neighbors. It's a yummy and terrifically unhealthy hobby!

I program computers, hike (hey, I'm an Oregonian. We LIKE hiking), watch sci-fi TV shows (Torchwood, Star Trek, etc.), do yoga, read, and translate on a regular basis. I'm not too well rounded a person, but I do what I like. 🙂

Lifting weights, watching football/baseball, hanging out with the girlfriend, hanging out with friends, going out to the bars, playing golf, and then my favorite getting extremely blazed with my best friends playing video games call of duty or fifa or listening to music while blazed

Reading chemistry articles and riding my road bike.

Much appreciation for the progressive guitar players, the amount of talent some of those guitarists have just leaves me awestruck. Wish I had a quarter of the abilities they do. 😛

I used to be very heavy into classic rock but over the last year or two I have been really focusing on electronic and ambient/soundscape-ish music, which is fun to apply to guitar. I also like bit of metal but most of the time I could never attempt playing the songs.

Dota just old, I play LoL (League of Legend)😀
Btw, a piece advice for pre-medee, try not to play games. I mean you CAN'T control yourself once you into it, just don't play instead of play alittle. I gurantee you will cry like a child everytime log in your comp.:meanie:

(Automatically click "insert your game")😀

Yeah some of the musicians have such impressive technique and creativity... And emotion too of course. it's utterly mind-blowing. Face-melting.

The electronic/ambient stuff sounds cool, a friend and I once messed around with outer space-sounding music.. we had a lot of reverb and delay on, and the music we played (if it could be classified in a genre) would have been psychedelic trance ambient jazz rock... a couple people liked it but some made fun of us for it being so strange (ouch!). Actually one of the things that attracts me to metal is because the repetitive nature of a lot of the music is ambient to me, if that makes sense. For an example of what I'm talking about, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1aJPEFtoNg (although this band is post-rock metal so it's minimalistic by nature)

I love baking as well but I just though I'd throw in that I HATE the word yummy. I'm not sure why but I just don't like the way it sounds. Rachel Ray is the worst because she seems particularly fond of calling things "Yummy" No offense intended, just taking this as an opportunity to talk about myself. 😀 😀

Hahaha! I use 'yummy' because it's what my students understand here. I teach English as a second language in Japan right now, and 'yummy' is something they can pronounce. "Tasty" comes out as "Taystay" and don't get me started on 'delicious'. Let's just say they've got some sounds they need to work on, lol.

But hey, I personally like the word "yummy" just fine. It's childish and simplistic and doesn't seem serious, and that suits desserts just fine. What could be more childish, simplistic, and not serious than dessert? Hahaha

Everyone likes talking about his/herself. No offense taken!

Ever heard of HoN? (Heros of Newerth)

Yes, sir. Indeed, I think HoN just 2nd gen of Dota.
It sounds like you have been play those 3, I think LoL should go better in the future since the main game devlopers/designers who make dota are now the coordinators or charge in LoL.👍

Anyways, we not suppose to talk about games at here!😀
Because that could make curious young kitten take risks to try them...THEN, problems creates.

I've addict to LoL since Chrismas break. Honestly, I've regreted started at the first place...I'm trying hard to get out right now. 🙁

I play twich, Rydog had write about this champ earlier. He's a kick as dude writes kick as guilde. I quote what ppl said...he had score 51 kills once...

Warning: Don't ever try it, you may regret it. lol 45mins per/game😳

For sure, it always amazes me when the musicians get technical/show mastery but still retain alot of the feeling and emotions. Alot of people seem to get one and lose the other (I have a lot of trouble with this).
And any genre that can be called "psychedelic trance ambient jazz rock" has to be amazing, I can't see how anyone can not like that. 😀

Also the vid was fantastic (you just introduced me to a new band yay!), I can see where you're coming from about the ambience in the music. Speaking of which I've been listening to a bit of post-metal and post rock as of late. One of the recent albums I got was from Russian Circles.

I hang out with my husband and our friends, and I read a lot... that's pretty much it. My group of people tends to hang out at Denny's in the middle of the night talking politics and philosophy. I'm sure this sounds boring to some, but it makes me happy. ^.^

Spending time with friends, playing basketball/soccer, playing poker, playing xbox, kill time on the internet, occasional parties.
