Do they really have DO schools in Toronto Canada?? The site itself seems a little sketchy to me. Plus they award a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice . The College uses the term Manual Practice to distinguish it from medical practice that is reserved for those Osteopaths who have trained in the United States as physicians. What does that even mean? Can people who do this 5 year course work in hospitals or get a resedency?

I haven't looked at the site, but what you have described is what "DO" means in several other countries, and apparently Canada. They are not trained to be full physicians like DO's in the United States. They practice sort of like chiropractors, but with the Osteopathic version of manual medicine.
