At least we're on the R.O.A.D. to happiness (Radiol, Ophthal, Anesth, Derm) , but even then, as much as I love ophthalmology now, the hassles of government red tape may take their toll later on. I hope not.
It is depressing. However, we do need leaders to be involved politically. I'm working with several members of the Academy and State Ophthalmology Societies to develop a resident-organized political organization. I am seeking residents who want to be involved politically. For those interested, we'll meet in Wash. DC during the AAO Mid-Year Forum.
