So thought I'd use the grande forum of SDN to ask all PMR residents, fellows, attendingd, and medical students who are interested/confused....

What would you want to see more of on the internet in terms of a reference site for PM&R in general. I know hot topics include Admissions, Salary, Pain vs. Sports, and then the general questions of "what do we do?". If you had the opportunity to create a rehab magazine (including anything from research, to education, to private practice structures) what would you include?

....hope this thread doesn't crash and burn. :xf:

Effective marketing methods and tools.

Leadership acknowledgment of the shift from inpatient to outpt PM&R.

Way more MSK in training, sufficient so that everyone doesn't feel you have to do a fellowship in order to practice anything besides general inpt PM&R.

Leadership to push back for ACGME certification of MSK/sport/spine/pain fellowships.

Research into what actually works in PM&R.

From a little M1 over here -- I think this is a great idea!

I would like to see maybe a Q&A column where med students can ask questions to residents and/or attendings. I know we can (and do) do that on here, but it would be nice to see it as a 'monthly column'. Questions can include: What to do during the summer between first and second year, what to do if your school doesn't have a strong PM&R department, etc...

Thanks for the feedback so far guys! There is something in the works that will hopefully cover both of your responses. Hopefully. It's a slow process.
