soooo...its not always a bad thing if an adcom recognizes you.
I had one of the adcoms at PNWU recognize me because i posted on here! it was nice cause he saw me and asked me about it to verify my identity.
it was a nice little ice breaker

I don't know what I'd do if someone asked me about SDN! I think I'd be a bit freaked out by it. I guess it's different since your screen name is your name.

Any news from them on your status? I thought Tuesday was the big day for hearing from PNWU.
 
For wanting to stay anonymous, I won't put up an actual shot. However, complete strangers have told me a few times that I look like this guy. So, since the thread title is "What does everyone look like?", I think this works. 🙂

Hahaha, I used to get called rosie in grade school since Rose is my last name. It used to bother me, now, not so much. I think its funny. That and I've been called much worse. Usually by my mother when she is yelling at me for not cleaning something up. Again. 😀.










Oh, yeah. Moooooo!!! There is actually an ice cream shop that gives you a free scoop on Tuesday nights around here if you moo. But they have a sign that says it has to be convincing. Its so funny. Haha, moo.
 
TT, dude, you should start an SDN workout program so people could use it and get in shape for OMM. Lol. It would sell...
 
I am not Greek either, but ever since 300 came out, I have often been mistaken for being a Spartan, due to my studly physique and manly beard.

Have you ever tried the 300 workout test that they did after all their training? It sucks. I usually enjoy it after its over, but it sucks *** during the workout. Mainly because of the lack of breaks.

my full name is Panagiotis Ioannis Psihos (also spelled Psychos), the students when i was in elementary school couldnt say my last name, so they called me seahorse and they couldnt say my cousins name either so they called him prettyhorse (kritikos). lol. and then they would tell me if you love greece so much why dont you move there. i told them if they would fund me a ticket i would leave. lol

my dads side is from an area about 30 minutes from Sparta, i pretend to be a Spartan but i'm really just an Argonaut (lol). 🙁

It looks like it is mainly designed to make you tired. I don't know how well I'd be able to do something like that. I don't know how big these actors are, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they aren't 6'4", 230 like I am. That thing would be a beyotch for someone my size.

I may give it a try though, just to see what I can do.

im really really trying to figure out if i should go to my azcom interview or not. i am really starting to get this feeling like i should go instead of canceling my interview.

Of course i will! as long as you're down with weight training.....i hate cardio like the plague.....except for soccer. otherwise i'd be a really strong obese girl hahahhaha

Awww I think you've just realized you really want to go to the school I'll be at. How sweet!! :meanie: Anyway, just kidding. 🙂 What are your reservations about going to your AZCOM interview. Do you think you would prefer your current school more, not taking into consideration getting of Western's waitlist?
 
i interviewed at AZCOM and it was a good experience. if you can see yourself potentially going there, and living in/around Phoenix, it doesn't hurt check it out.

though i am biased, primarily because i need a friend to join me for frappes in NYC and talk about how great Olympiakos and Red Star Belgrade are at soccer.

Awesome!! I could do some weight training. I haven't done weight training since high school. I do enjoy playing tennis although I'm really really not good at it. I don't like any other sports with larger balls that could hit me in the face though. :meanie:

soccer is an amazing workout. i hate running like the plague so i only follow on tv. get me into a pool and i'll swim laps around all y'all!

I agree and on the other hand if you really think it would be unlikely for you to go if accepted then give up your interview spot because I already know several people who would love to have it.

agreed, i gave up on a few interview spots for this reason. once you get an acceptance at a school you clicked with, it's best not to deprive other students who are dying for a shot to get in.
 
1) i agree about the interview thing. arizona is HOT. if you dont want this, screw it, cancel the interview, and let someone else have it. although one of my best friends is greek, and i thus have a soft spot for u fellow mediterannians.....thou comparatively you suck at soccer 😎

2) eel i blow at tennis, so we could play, and hopefully both get better

ahem what? stink at soccer? compared to who? there are Serbians and Greeks ALL OVER the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, Primera Liga...

Serbian National Team has been in a rough patch the past few years, I'll give you that, but the Greeks won EURO 2004. We hardly stink at soccer 🙂

i was looking up the area and its relatively affordable, I would be able to actually buy a place, Midwestern has great reputation here in Chicago and i hear its even better in AZ, and i hear phoenix is a lively city, and there are things to do (restaurants, recreation, etc.) and the weather is pretty good. Plus i got a friend that just got into medical school in phoenix or somewhere around there, into a state medical school. I could have already been through with my interview but i opted to take a later interview date, and i just got a reminder from the school about my interview date and what time to be there and where to meet, and i dont want to hurt anyone elses chances if i keep it any longer with the intention of not going. I guess i have some thinking to do.

I'm ital, and will always believe we are AWSOME at the sport, as well as make the best food known to mankind. World cup winners woot woot!!!!! and yes i'm still pumped about it!👍
