Everyone always talks about 'getting through First Aid', as in, "I'd like to go through First Aid twice before I take Step 1", but what does that actually mean?

Are people just reading through it page after page like a book?

Or making flashcards?

Or going slowly enough to memorize everything on a page?

I'm wondering what people's strategies are to go through it because I'm having some trouble just going from page to page to page.

Any thoughts?

What I have gathered is that people like to go through it once thoroughly with other review books in hand (and a question bank maybe) and they annotate it so that everything in there is at least understandable to them and if there are any points that are not included - which you'd have to decide for yourself about - they add that in. And then read over it again as much as you need to commit it to memory. I'm personally going to go through at least three times haha, but I feel like I have more time than most people based on how much people say they get on these forums.
