I would be do acting internship for the first time. My chief sent me a schedule. Every day there are Day Call, 24h Call, and NF. But what does NF stand for? Thanks!
FM resident here. Our NF runs Sunday night through Friday AM. You cover the FM hospital service, all peds admissions, our clinic OB in addition to another clinic OB. We admit for a few sporadic FM clinics as well. Basically, you keep the patients alive overnight and usually defer "non-important" things until the primary team comes back.

FM stands for family medicine?
I found I would be on Night Float for consecutive 3 days. My chief tells me I am required to come except OFF. There's no OFF on my schedule after NF, does it mean I have to stay in the hospital for consecutive 3 days? I mean usual day-time work+NF+usual day-time work+NF+ usual day-time work +NF +usual day-time work~~
crazy!
I'm guessing that on days you are assigned to NF you have off from morning (post-rounds) to evening. But who knows, maybe they really do expect you to work an 84-hour shift...
