What does Releasing Score entail

Im a bit unfamiliar with the application process, so what does it mean when you Release your MCAT score...and is this an option you have when you take the MCAT, or are there other procedures involved? And lets say we release our MCAT score, can any medical school access that score? Ie...is it like the SAT's where, if you scored really well, the best schools would send you applications, etc? Thanks

I think scores are automatically released since the CBT MCAT. But don't quote me on that. Go to the MCAT registration page, log in, and there's a link to view your past MCAT scores and to release them.

true. it adds to your AMCAS when it is released and is forwarded to schools from there.
