I'm curious what your school does when u've failed an exam, and possibly the course. I'm getting my @$$ whipped by anatomy. i've heard rumors that they're summer anatomy courses...dunno.

Anatomy is a tough class, we just had our Anatomy midterm, and i definately didn't get that much sleep before it, I understand your frustrations with it.

Here at Davis, if you fail any class, you can take a make-up test either over the Christmas break or soon after school resumes in January. I don't think there is a make-up course per-se, but if you fail the re-test, I think you have to repeat the year.

you guys are lucky in a sense.

Here at Ross we have 2 possibilities, generally speaking.
1) if we fail more than 1 class, you'll most likely be asked to leave the school(ie kicked out). Of course it all depends also on how well you do on the course shelf as well.
2) If you only fail 1 course, then you have to repeat that course. We have no make up test we can take. Then with that, depending on how well we do in our other courses. We'll either have to retake those courses or take remedial courses in those subjects. Where at the end you have to take a pass/fail test in that specific subject.

Basically, if you fail a course here you drop back a semester no matter what. And there is no test or course we can do if we failed the semester.

Here, you wait until the end of the year, then you take a "remediation" class. Depends on the subject how much work it is. Anatomy included lab stuff, from what I hear, and was pretty intense, but other classes mostly just do a couple of get-togethers, then you take a remediation exam. If you pass it, you;re good, if not, you can choose between quitting and taking the year over.

This sounds basically like what my school does, but our summer remediation usually involves multiple exams. If you have to re-do the entire year and don't pass a class the 2nd time through you're gone.

I'm not too sure what happens here. I know you can get a conditional pass, and not have to take the class again. I think they make you retake it if you have a failing average on the practicals, even if you pass the class overall. And of course, if you fail the class overall you have to retake it.

I don't know when it's offered again. I'm just thankful I don't have to worry about it so far.
