When someone hears the word pharmacist, the 2 pictures that come to mind are probably retail or hospital. My high school chem teacher told me that he knew a pharmacist that didn't work in a retail/hospital setting, but like a medicine factory or something like that. So my question is, what other places can a person with a PharmD work at? I'm just starting my first year of pre-pharm this fall, and figured you guys on this board may know.

Yes - retail is most well known because that is the practice setting the general public sees most frequently, and obviously there are a lot of jobs in retail. Check out this URL for some other ideas:

keith - there's a thread in the pre-pharmacy FAQ sticky which gives lots of links. Also - do a search on sdn for pharmacy career opportunities. There have been lots of threads on this topic already - both Kwizard, myself & others have listed opportunities in detail.
