what energy/nutrient drink do you guys recommend to get thru a long shift?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You guys are all wrong, clearly this is the most optimal source of energy:

Doesn't want to hear BS tangential banter on carbs vs. fat as a response

I think you meant to reply to Unchained....

Why would you tag him?!

Fine, if you prefer I could just as easily say there are lots of articles for and against a flat earth theory. Hopefully you don't have an SDN poster you can tag for that one...

@KyrieIrving?

Interpret this 2019 meta-analysis: Association between intake of non-sugar sweeteners and health outcomes: systematic review and meta-analyses of randomised and non-randomised controlled trials and observational studies

Hint, people who consumed non-sugar sweeteners (NSS) did not weigh more than those who didn't consume NSS.

Neither did they lead people to be hungrier, or eat more.

Neither did they elevate risk of various types of cancer.

Less fear-mongering and more science on this forum please. Enjoy your diet coke/pepsi or low cal energy drink in moderation, and get on with your life.

Whew, I do enjoy a pint of Halo top

Guess im boring....

Chug water throughout the day. Go work out, then study til' midnight'ish. Rinse and Repeat.

Then again, I'm still in classroom mode and only limited time at the VA pharmacy.

I think tomorrow I'll try one of those monster zeros and see what the hype is all about....

Nothing special about it, some B vitamins for marketing + caffeine and tastes decent. Can't remember if it's 140mg or 160mg caffeine, but it's not much. BANG/Reign have 300mg.. that's what I'd be careful about. If you prefer black coffee, then knock yourself out.

I am detecting a strong virtue signal in this thread

Huh? You mean the I'm better than you so I only shop at Whole Foods and eat organic & non-gmo foods, and don't touch artificial sweeteners type virtue signaling? Did I mention that I have an impeccable diet and ride my peloton bike 2 hours everyday?

The rest of y'all are peons.

So as a side note, I did go ahead and purchased that Monster Zero Ultra and it actually isn't to bad. I wouldn't say I drink it on the daily but I do feel some level of a "placebo" effect in the evening time after finalizing my studies and work-out regimen.
