When people say there are generally more "search and destroy" type questions on the real DAT compared to CDR, does that mean the question will literally ask you to find the sentence with the exact answer that's stated loud and clear? Or more like questions on CDR when it says "which of the statements does the author not dispute?" and has 4 statements that are also stated pretty much verbatim, but you have to go digging to see which one isn't supported.
What exactly are "search and destroy" questions?

Generally, it refers to any question with an answer that you can find straight from the text without reading between the lines etc.
Could be "What is the blahblah" or "What is NOT the blahblah", as long as it's finding it almost word-for-word from the text.
That being said.....knowing which questions are search and destroy and which ones are not ultimately DOES NOT MATTER. What matters more is developing the ability to map out the entire passage instead of "oh yay this question is search and destroy, just gotta scan the passage for this one".

The strategy doesn't work for everyone though. Just gotta try and see what fits you.
For me, I skim the first 2-3 paragraphs, jot notes, and then go through all the questions to see if I can answer them from reading those paragraphs. Repeat.
Although on my last practice section, I was running out of time, panicked, and resorted to Search and Destroy, hahah.
