I was on Forbes.com and I was actually looking up Mark Zuckerberg, and came across a lot of different people on the billionaire list that had various healthcare source of wealth, such as medical devices, vaccines, etc, but more than a few had "pharmaceuticals". Can someone explain that to me?

Ohhh okay. Somehow I thought that maybe they were pharmacists that branched out to do something else. Okay. Thanks!!

l.m.a.o.... billionaire pharmacists!

in fact, i think none of those billionaires ever spent so much as a day with clinical/service type work.

I meant that they started out as pharmacists, then ventured out to something else. But now I know.

I looked at the top 50 and I saw people who made their money in chocolates (several), beer and groceries. Just one in "pharmaceuticals" and she used daddy's money to invest in biotech.

So you mean that I could become a swiss chocolatier and make billions? I think I know what I'm doing for my gap year.

Who can take a sunrise?
Sprinkle it with dew
Cover it in chocolate
And a miracle or two?

Billionaires. That's who.

Chocolate is a very necessary pharmaceutical! And food group too.

I grouped the billionaires by "healthcare" and that majority of those where pharmaceuticals. They definitely weren't in the top 50 for sure, I just wanted to see people in the healthcare industry and what they were doing to become so lucrative.

It'd probably be hard to make a billion purely through pharmaceuticals now, there was a big boom a while ago while all these knockout drugs were being discovered. Most of the low-hanging fruit have been taken now and it's much harder.
