for me, it's take alot of loan for education and setting a practice. I will be in debt for large of my life ;(. On top of that, I am scared that my patients will sue me while I am in debt 🙁

How about you, what's your biggest fear about dentistry?

Actually, I think I can totally see your head explode the moment a patient asks you a question...

Yeah, I can totally see your patients taking you to court, but any person dumb enough to let you touch them shouldn't get a dime anyway....they have it coming.

Or you could be sued by former employees

I am not in dentistry but, for you all, I would say national health care. Dentistry has been very lucky in regard to managed care. I hope it continues for you.

androids! you never know, companies could come up with robotic humans who could do the same job and take less money (or power...haha)

has anyone ever heard about how dental technology is so backward owing to the fact that dentists never allow it to reach its pinacle, in fear of being replaced by machines which could do the same job in less time and less money??

anyhow, for now, im seriously only worried about getting into a dental school.😛

My fear is an advancement in technology that will make general practice obsolete. ie probiotics and such. I think its doubtful that this will happen but you never know.

My biggest fear is injuring my hands or body / degeneration of health that will prevent me from practicing

^^^ What he said!

Would/will any of the Democrats' national health care plans -- even Hillary's -- affect us as dentists, though? As far as I know, none of their proposals include a "solution" for universal dental care, but I may be wrong (hope not!)...
