Hi guys......... I am a senior MicroBio major and currently my GPA 3.8
I am taking a 6 unit microbiology course ........the teacher is out of this world difficult and I may end up with a C in the course. what are the consequences in regards to getting admission?

Thanks :scared:

Might as well give up. Not getting into dental school now.

This is obviously not true. If you have a 3.8 and than there is 1 C on your transcript, chances are that there is a perfectly good explanation for that grade. Just have a good reason for it, keep up with the rest of your grades and you should be fine.

Sarcasm, my friend.

you can't blame it on the teacher. the class may be difficult but a certain proportion of the class is still going to get a A and B. Set up your game change the way you study for this class.

It happens.
Just make sure your DAT score matches your gpa.

Like everyone said if this is your only C than don't even lose a second of sleep. Even if this is your second, with a 3.8 you have nothing to stress over. What will hurt you more is if you apply late or your application is held up for some reason.

wow you feel bad because you have 1 C, I think you would commit suicide if you had my transcrit lol

haha that was the first original comment ive read posted on SDN

"make sure your dat matches your gpa"

Might as well give up dental school now, schools don 't accept chumps who manage to get Cs. Hell, you might be in tough to get into hygiene school.

C is fine.

btw if it is your lowest grade, it will get mentioned, my lowest grade was mentioned but it was the highest score on the DAT...so I some 'splainin to do

it shows you're human. Not everyone can be a straight A-pumping, volunteering, organization running superstar for FOUR years of college.

Family members die, break ups happen, a bad professor, illness, burn out, the list goes on and on.

Hell, I once had to go cross country for military training right before mid terms in my 2 classes, and I nearly failed both because of it.
