It varies by school. Your best source of information would be you school's administration. Either Dean, Student Affairs, or someone else who would have the most up to date info on what the consequences/recourse would be.
Depends on the school. You will, regardless, have to make up the credit some how. You may be able to take the course over the summer..this is pretty rare because most schools don't offer courses over the summer. It may be possible with a basic science course. Or you might have to wait until the course is offered again at your school..which is usually the next year. This will put you behind a year. Bottom line...don't fail!

You take it again. It's no biggie, just pass it the second time. Use the of time to intern somewhere during the morning/afternoon when they don't have any other interns. You'll get 40 hrs/week and get all of your intern hour requirements out of the way, for sure.
at my school it depends on what you fail. if you fail something that isn't a prereq for other classes and your gpa is high enough that it's still above 2.0 then no, you just have to take it over (which is tough because really, it's hard enough with just the classes you have. adding another class is rough.) if not, then another year of school, or - depending on the circumstances - no more years of school.
At my school, a student sits out until the next time that class is offered (that term a year from then). So, yeah, that's a seven month break from school. Some may think that's an attractive option. I'll avoid it at all costs. We're allowed one D per semester, but if the GPA goes too low, that may call into question the availability of financial aid.
There was a thread in the Pre-pharmacy forum about a guy who failed one class at Worcester and now has to extent an additional year. Not fun.
Surprisingly it's quite easy. You have a 6 month grace period from the last day of the last completed semester on your federal loans. After that, you can choose to make the payment or you can request an economic hardship deferment that will last up to six months. Likely you will be in school again when this deferment is over and your loans will go back to in school status. Just remember to have the financial aid people at your school fill out the forms ASAP when you start back. The most important thing is to make sure you stay on top of the forms so the creditors stay off of your back. I've been in this position and it's not a whole lot of fun having to screen all your calls and getting calls about it all hours of the day and night.
