I have to split mine into 3 categories:

Favorite major course: Partial Differential Equations (mmmmm, applied math)

Favorite premed course: Organic Chemistry (yay logic!)

Favorite non-STEM course: Evolution of Cooperation (humans: why are we so weird?)

I have to split mine into 4 categories...
Favorite major course: Physiology or Biology of Birds (I've actually become somewhat of a birding nerd)
Favorite premed course: inorganic chem (Ill be honest...I just liked making colorful solutions in lab)
Favorite non-STEM course: Ethics and Public Policy or War and International Conflict (poli sci minor)
Favorite "just for fun" class: Hip Hop dance. It was a great way to relive stress and break up the long days of sitting in lecture. And I got an A+ 😉

Pharmacology... NOT! Currently hating my life right now.

My favorite undergrad course would have to be Creative Writing. Loved the stuff I got to do in that class! I guess my more "scienc-y" answer would be Target Organ Toxicity and Pathophysiology, which I'm taking now. Pretty interesting stuff and germane to what's going down in the next couple of years in terms of med school.

Haven't had that many classes yet, but Gen Chem I. My professor's so awesome that I could honestly say I enjoyed learning.

I actually really like Shakespeare. I'm not taking a class on it though 🙁

It'll change your life, but then again I was an English major so I'm pretty sure most pre-meds would not share that sentiment.

Don't need to be an English major to appreciate it. I studied Hamlet briefly as a pseudo-independent study in undergrad, and it was awesome.

Glad to hear it. Most of people I've encountered over the years who are pre-med were practically allergic to anything dealing with English, writing, or reading (if it wasn't science). Nice to know there are others out there who do enjoy it.

1. Investments
2. Physics
3. The Economic Development of the United States (it was a very pro-free market class 👍).

In addition to OP's original question, I would like to ask, What has been your least favorite course or the course that kicked you in the butt the hardest??

Favorite course: Greek Tragedy. Awesome discussion class with a great professor.

Favorite required course for my major: Biomedical ethics

I have no favorite basic science course.

Cognitive neuroscience. As far as pre-reqs go, human physiology. I more-or-less hated Ochem, but I nothing beats the moment in Ochem2 where everything just sort of "clicked" and I understood it. 🙂

Cell biology, psychopharmacology and formal logic (philosophy)

I really enjoyed Medical Mycology.. mainly because the professor was brilliant and it's taught at so few Universities.
Favorite elective (just-for-fun) class: canoeing. I signed up for SCUBA but ended up having a schedule conflict, unfortunately. So I had to make due with canoeing (which was basically just an overnight camping/canoeing trip). 😎

Currently loving Ochem 2 b/c everything makes sense. However, all of my top faves are non-science courses: English (the prof made it so philosophical, which brings me to my next fave), Intro to philosophy, and my absolute favorite, cultural anthropology.

The humanities give a nice perspective on life that I think a lot of pre-meds are missing. I think it's part of the reason this "new MCAT" jazz is happening.

Physics. So glad I never have to deal with that crap again unless I want to be a radiologist, which I dont.

Yeah I think medical schools are seeing more significance in it.

Molecular Biology and Genetics

I got an A, but lawd knows how. The professor was horrible, the exams were insane, and I'm pretty sure I guessed on >50% of the final. Like. What even. I left the final almost in tears.

Favorite undergrad courses:
Neotropical Ecology - field course in Panama on coral reefs and rain forests.
Animal Physiology - my school's advanced A&P, I suppose...
Religions of the World - I think this should be mandatory in some states considering how skewed people's understandings of some religions are....

Favorite graduate course: (because I can...) 😎
Medical Helminthology - YAY worms!

Wow, nicely done! (not the tears part but the A part)

If there was ever a moment I believed in a higher power, it was that moment. I literally had no idea what I was doing or what was going on. That was the day of the Avengers movie marathon, and I left the theater during Thor to take the final.

Major course: Quantitative Equity Portfolio Management
Premed course: Ochem 2

I hear that's a pain. Is it true?

Depends on what department you take it from. I loved my fluids class and didn't find it hard. Challenging at times (conceptually) but not hard to do once you got it. Our tests were all word problems that were kinda "out there" and you had to solve simple real world problems with the material. Thought the exams were actually fun to do...

I would recommend taking it if you talk to students at your school and they didn't hate it.

microbiology was pretty cool.....a little bit scary though.

neuroscience was probably the best, however. I love the brain.

Cell bio, endocrinology, digital audio workstation, art history of Japan, and Hellenistic civ. 👍

Major: Complex Med-Surg

Pre-med: Physics II or endocrinology

I enjoyed my 300 and 400 level physiology courses the most. I also really enjoyed my 200 level microeconomics course.

German Nobel Laureates in Literature, such an awesome class

For me it's a toss up between an accelerated Portuguese for Spanish speakers class I had, Organic Chemistry and Systems Neuroscience.

Forensic psychology. Maybe orgo lab, even though I kinda sucked at it.

Behavioral Endocrinology and Biomedical Ethics. I am excited for the Psychopharmacology course I'm starting in 2 weeks.

cancer biology or neurodegenerative diseases

+1 I love English. When I was graduating high school I wanted to the major but worried that it wouldn't prepare me for psych enough...
