What if I don't know what I'm doing with my gap year yet?

I just got a secondary and there's a question that asks what my plans are for the upcoming year. I'm taking a gap year and I have a rough idea of what I want to do but nothing definite yet. Is it better to wait to submit until I figure out exactly what I'm doing (could be a month or so) or just write down general things such as volunteering, getting a job etc. so I can get it in early??

Also any suggestions on gap year options are definitely appreciated!!

Remember that you are going to be judged by the contents of your essays. You don't want to seem flaky or immature or irresponsible, or unprepared.

Make your job search and volunteering sound purposeful and engaging. Sound excited about what you will be doing. You'll have an opportunity to update schools, sure, but you'll want to make a good first impression.
