Hi Prets

You still have to do Masters in Pediatrics to be associate professor in a Dental School and you may also opt for Clinical research programs in Pediatric dentistry and I am not sure if any school will allow you to teach dental students the clinical part but you certainly can be handling some portions of the didactic course. Let me know if you need any help

Thanks

Hi Prets

Yes some schools do and you have to clear Part 1 and 2 NBDE or atleast Part 1 before you apply for the program. I had 4 interviews without part 1 score too but I dint get through so its always better to approach them with part 1 score

hi vennai,

plz lemme know the list of schools which accept applicants into the masters course without a DDS.You mentioned that some take you in with your board scores and you have had the experience in this process.

hi again prets,

Yeah I've kinda put DDS on the backburner for a while.Am seriously pursuing M.S in Health Admin.lets see what I can do later.Meanwhile,I will keep gathering info and definately share it with you'll.I am also trying to coax myself into starting preps for Part 2.thought I'd give the exams and keep my options open. But the most important thing I'm doin is praying hard that My part 1 scores will be good enough to show my face around. It's scary waiting for the results. :scared:

Hi tweety bird

I am not sure of which schools accept International dentists presently but when I applied couple of years back they dint specify that NBDE is required but I guess the reason I was not selected is that they did not have any basic factor other than GRE and Toefl

You should understand that GRE is not the only criteria for admission into dental schools that too for a Masters program

I got scores of Part 1 and 2 only after I was done with interviews which was little bit sad

Hope it makes sense I applied to Tufts, Baylor and Marquette Univs

But trust me until you have part 1 score its not worth spending on interviews

Vennai

u r right vennai part1 and 2 scores r the parameters by which they can judge us well we can give these exams but even after giving these its not certain where we will land up. best of luck tweety bird for your resust ull do well l
