What is a good "Clinical Research" year-long project?

Well, it looks like I will take a year off between 3rd and 4th year off to do research. I know I don't want to benchside or translational research. What's are broad ideas for a good clinical research project for a year that doesn't come off too short (i.e.- like a mere survey study) but not too time intensive and flexible?

I've heard of doing multiple clinical projects instead of just doing one large clinical project. I'm taking a year off but it is for basic science research (with clinical on the side) so I can't speak about year-long clinical projects. Speak to whoever you're planning on doing research with.
