Hey guys, just realized I wrote down on my AMCAS primary that I was a Research Assistant for a neuro-oncology lab (in actuality I am simply a student assistant, I didn't realize that Research Assistant was a position given only to graduate students that literally co-author a project with a PI). So my question is, should I notify all of the schools that I applied to that I am a student research assistant and not a certified Research Assistant (RA) or do you think schools would just assume this? Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. I did the same thing and since you are an undergrad, I think most med schools will assume you were a student assistant.

I'm a student researcher, but on my paychecks and affiliations with the University, it calls me a Research Assistant as an undergrad, so I'm not sure how stiff the term is.

RA does not necessarily mean grad student, in my lab all of the techs are titled research assistants, I wouldn't worry about it

Ever heard the term "prison bitch"? A research assistant is pretty much the lab equivalent of that.

I wouldn't worry about it. There really are no certified Research Assistant.
