What is burnout? Do you get it if you want the score badly enough

I don't think i've ever burned out. How does it feel?

Peeps always talk about it when they're studying for step 1. But if you want 250+ so badly, what's the big deal for an extra run through the material? In the end, can't you cut your time down instead of going 12 hrs/day?

I know what you mean.

There are SO many other things people do day-in and day-out for their whole lives that are SO much more difficult that Step I studying.

If you stay focused, 250+++ should not be a huge issue.

To me, burn-out means that you've reached the point that you've stopped caring, don't want to learn anymore and just want to take the test to get it out of the way. It's less about feeling bad or stress and more about loss of motivation. I think that if you actually have fun while studying, you'd lower your risk of burning out.
