At my university, the "bio II" class is not required for majors like biochem and biomedical science (Me). Instead, we all were required to take a molecular biology class second semester freshman year and then classes like euk. cell bio in the later classes. Will not taking the "bio II" class put me at a disadvantage for the DAT studying? Also, while this is more for the pre-dental section of SDN, will schools accept these as my bio credits?

Bio II is both on the DAT and a pre-req for dental school. You should take that course for those reasons. They will be looking for it on your transcript.

So you're saying dental schools won't accept my genetics class as bio 2? It's what is required for my pre-health based major

You should call the schools to see but I would think that genetics would be considered a "recommended" or "additional requirements" type class. If you look at requirements for schools you are interested in, you can see how courses like genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, etc. fall in terms of required courses. From personal experience, genetics and Bio II aren't the same class. Genetics is well genetics and Bio II is plants and animals.
