I hear about this alot in this forum, but what is it?
I am sorry, I can just buy one and find out , but I can't afford it right now,

is it just all the reactions that is covered in DAT?

how many reactions ?

It is a huge web of reactions that is really useful in understanding multistep synthesis. As for how many, I'm not sure. It's 6 pages long, some pages with more reactions than others, and is really useful for quick reaction review.

Most wouldn't recommend odyssey for the DAT, as it has too much information that you don't need to know. DAT destroyer is really good though; however, it's best to supplemented it American Chemical Society workbooks for gen chem and o chem.

Is the Schaum's outline for organic chemistry a good source to use as well?

The odyssey does have allot of questions and there are def allot of them that you dont have to know for the dat. However there are different chapters in the book that you could choose from that have questions that pertain to the dat. personally i used the odyssey when i was taking orgo 1 and 2 and it was a great help. it gives you an opportunity to see all different typesy of questions. The ACS orgo book is also a very good book. It has lots of good practice question. the only problem that i had with it is that none of the answers are explained. you basically have to have the knowledge before hand. The odyssey has exlplanations for all the problems and most of them are very easy to understand
