The UCLA/DREW Joint Program is a program where you do your first two academic years at UCLA along with all the other UCLA medical students. And then for years 3 and 4 you are at the King/Drew Medical Center. This program is for people who want to work in inner cities and medically underserved communities. They look for individuals who have shown commitment to volunteering and working in these types of areas. This program is really great if you are dedicated to working with the underserved because you get the great academics of UCLA, along with lots of hand on experience at King/Drew Hospital, which is a County Hospital. Hope this info helps.
