I am still waiting to hear from UNC (MHA), as the only thing they sent me was about 2.5 months ago where they said "please be patient." I really need to make a decision now, but whenever I call them, nobody ever picks up the phone. I emailed them and nobody ever responded. I just wanna know the status of my application!!!

My guess is you were on the waitlist or your letter got lost in the mail. I have a friend who has not heard anything but has a source at UNC and found out they were waitlisted. I would call and leave a voicemail. Everyday if you need to. I would be completely turned off to a school if this was the way they treated their perspective students, that's just me. I hope you hear soon though, I think its unprofessional to not respond to calls/e-mails at such a critical time. Good luck!

What office are you trying to call? I'd suggest trying another number. Call another office (such as Student Affairs, etc.), and explain that you can't get through, and maybe they can give you another extension to call. Also, you can call the the general number at the University or the Gillings School, and tell the operator that the extension you were dialing is not being answered, and ask for another number. Also, you can certainly call the department to which you applied. This might be the most effective way to find out the status of your application.

.Given that its past April 15th, I would not hesitate to contact the department. My suggestion would be to email Lynette Jones (student services manager) and copy Dr. Laurel Files (or whoever your faculty contact was during your interview). Politely explain to them that you are weighing different offers and need to hear about their decision as soon as possible. .
