Try looking for "clinical care extender" programs. I've heard of a few up there.

Is medical office assistant doing mostly clerical work count as clinical experience?

If you are at the front desk answering phones, checking in patients, making appointments, possibly even calling patients back to a room or collecting their speciments, it is a "clinical experience" for med school application purposes. If you are in a back room filing, transcribing, or completing bookkeeping chores, it is not.

There are many potential roles at Planned Parenthood that have no attached controversy: routine checkups, office gynecologic procedures, distracting kids while mom is busy, translating, etc. If you are worried about what someone will think, be vague in your description. Even schools without an religious basis have adcomms with their own opinions.
