Hello All,

I am a 20 year old Community College student in South Florida. I will have obtained my AA degree by the end of this summer. Then I will be starting to tackle my pre recs. for dental school, but I am very naive and unaware of exactly what to do. Should I pursue a bachelor degree or a major first? Should I transfer to the university before I apply to dental school? Or anything else that you feel that I may need to know please feel free to share.

Thank you!

Also, how old is the average dental school graduate? Just Wondering...

Real quick..

1) Get a degree and most of your pre-req's from a 4 year university!!!

2) Blow the DAT away. Shoot for 21+ in most if not all categories

3) Have decent amount of shadowing/assisting experience

4) Apply eary as possible!

Bam, you're a dentist.....

I'll be 30 years old. I would say the average answer on here will be wrong, so basically you can be a dentist at any age, don't worry about that.👍

I hear the average age is somewhere around 26 or so, but I'm sure it varies from school to school. I'll be 39 when I get out (provided I get in this cycle).
