What is Medical School Like?

I was wondering if the folks that are already in medical school could post what it's like for those of us that are trying to head in that direction. But for this post, I don't mean in terms of class, labs, work, etc. I mean more the feeling of the school, and the people. Please write about your experiences of medical school, what schools have only anal-retentive bastards, and which ones have professors that would hit the bong with you (by the way, I'm not trying to say one way is better than the other, I'm just trying to get a better feeling for different schools). I don't think you are going to get much help here. Every school is different--in fact every YEAR is different. So telling you all about my class doesn't mean anything because each year they accept a diff group of people.

medical school is like memorizing a dictionary. except the dictionary isn't in english. and sometimes they're not even words. and it's really fvckin thick. well that's the first two years. then you have this big vocabulary test during the summer. you're supposed to study kinda hard for it. and then the next two years you wear scrubs to work and make coffee and if you're lucky wipe poo from old people.

It depends on where you go, and how many idiots there are in your year. Hopefully, the idiots will leave eventually.

Lecturers..there are some quirky ones, and some whom you wish that they were kicked in their arses..

Generally..be nice in med school, never be a pompous arse

It's like that thing, you know, with the thing that like, goes on top of the other thing...then the whole thing kind of goes around the thingy, um....you know, like that other thing but not the same thing.
