What is more similar to the actual test: generators or subject tests?

Hey everyone!

Just a quick question,

Is it better to do practice subject tests or generators, or even both?

I've recently used the practice tests for angle ranking and pattern folding but I've noticed the difference in difficulty. Am I better off doing one or the other?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I went through the practice tests when I had a full ~2 hours in my schedule (to complete the test and review it completely), or even ~6+ hours to go through an entire DAT practice test (with all subjects, plus review what I got wrong).

I would do the generators when I had a couple minutes downtime. Did you find the generator questions to be easier? In my experience, I thought the generator introduced me to many useful types of questions, for example, different types of pattern folding questions (dice, half triangles, etc...), and I could apply what I learned to the practice test problems, whether they were easier or harder.
