EVERYONE on this forum is killing the DAT....i want to as WELL!

it appears the average dat in this forum is AA 20, PAT 20+!!!!!!!

what are the REAL averages of applicants....since SDN (seems like) is occupied by a hundred or less predents?

any THOUGHTS!?

ps..oh yeah, stupid question im sure--

is AA= BIO + GC+ OC+ RC+ QR

and total sciences the same but bio, gc, oc/3?

its just that ive been taking practice tests left and right and some of my scores DONT ADD up this WAY.

average DAT score is an 18.

yes, AA is everything but the PAT and and TS is the 3 sciences. your AA and TS scores aren't simply the average of the subjects included in them, but instead are scaled just like every other section.

Yeah, when I first joined this site I was extremely intimidated by the number of people that were posting 20's and well up the scale. I would agree that the national average is about an 18 though.

Taken directly off my score sheet:

The Academic Average is the average of five scores rounded to the nearest whole number: Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.

The Total Science score is a standard score based on all 100 questions in the Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry tests. It is not the average of the three science standard scores.

Remember not every pre-dent dwells in SDN.

ok BUT, how can the average go from a 16, to an 18 all of a sudden within ONE YEAR!?!

i think the average is still a 16, 17......since in the ADEA BOOK the averages of accpeted first time applicants for most schools is from 16-17-18ish....

its only the AVG of SDNers that is SOOOOOO high..........for some reason. 🙂

I am still very scared though. bye. 🙁
