I'm thinking about becoming a doctor or dentist, but I'm not sure yet so I will shadow both professions this summer. Also, how do dental school look at retaken classes? are they averaged or is the old one replaced by the new one?

It varies greatly by school. I was told that if you have at least a 3.3 and 19, chances are you can get in somewhere. And if you repeat classes, all attempts count.

20AA
3.5 science
3.56 Overall
Are the averages between all schools. These were the incoming stats for the current 2nd year dental students though.

Grades aren't replaced, they're both factored into your GPA

if you are looking for grade replacements, you should look into DO!

What is your definition of a top tier dental school vs a mid tier dental school? What criteria is used while making the distinction? Just curious.
Probably Ivy's and UCLA.
For some reason UCLA is always thrown in the mix.

I am still waiting for his answer lol. If he can come up with anything that isn't an arbitrary, reputation based response I will give him credit. Perhaps he'll use the modified SA formula from Doc Toothache's guide, but that wouldn't fit the narrative of "top tier" so who knows. You're going to a low cost school, which is top tier in my book 👍
Bingo.
