What is the average matriculant MCAT score?

I just finished my sophomore year of college and I have always heard that a 30 is considered competitive. However, as test takers are getting better is a 30 still competitive for allopathic? I have heard that a 31 or 32 is the new "30". Opinions?

Something to keep in mind, most of the schools with MCAT ranges in the 28-29 range are instate only.
